WAITING ROOM is an elegy of sorts––a reflection on my father's sudden passing, and its timing just preceding our shared reality of mass mourning. It's an attempt to render personal loss into something transcendent, to claim a space for grief and healing within my practice. In the waiting room, a door frame is a body/ is a screen / is a headstone. In the threshold, my father shares an anecdote about survival, and elusive images demand repetition. A blue voice welcomes you, beckons you to share in it. What would you like time to do for you?
